You wouldn’t have felt short changed if you braved the snow for Hibs’ Championship encounter with Falkirk at the weekend, if you’re from a Hibs persuasion though you might feel disappointed that we left a three-one lead slip in a game that ended three-three in the end on Saturday afternoon.

We got off to a perfect start when Jason Cummings (12), who was free to play when we successfully appealed for him to be able to play, put us ahead but within minute John Baird (18) drew Falkirk level.

Two goals in three-minutes at the end of the first half from Cummings (39 & 42) not only saw him complete a first half hat-trick but send us into the break three-one up, and in complete control….

Falkirk got back into the game when Liam Craig (59) put through his own net and at the midway point of the second half Falkirk made it three-three when Peter Grant (65) scored, had it not been for ‘keeper Mark Oxley, who made a couple of saves including tipping a Craig Sibbald effort onto the post we would have lost, as it was it ended three-three.

Ahead of the game, and rightly so given that we were at home and in good form, a win was expected with these were the pre-match polls findings:-

Hibs v Falkirk

Hibs win 76%
Falkirk win 12%
Draw 12%

Next up we’re looking to pick out a ‘Man of the Match’ from this game, that’s what the latest poll is asking so do cast a vote – did a starter, or someone from the bench, offer us the most on the afternoon?

Select the name that you want from the list in the MotM poll to your right, but why not also share your thoughts with us on your thinking, and the game itself, with some views below.
