Hibs fans are used to the mob sectarian mentality when they play Rangers at Ibrox and despite the Scottish media turning a blind eye to the chants, often describing it as a minority of the ‘Gers fans, some followers of the fallen Glasgow giants always take things too far.

Their abuse of Neil Lennon whenever he visits is well known, their hatred of him complete.

With the Hibs boss leading his side to their second victory of the season on the outskirts of Paisley, Gers were fuming but rather than direct such anger at their own, one charming gentleman with the imaginative handle of @_Craig72 tweeted the following in the aftermath of the Hibees win.

The last match at Ibrox which saw Hibs record a 3-2 victory back in August was also tarred by sectarian social media comments from so-called Rangers fans with one, Sean Cowan, sentenced to a Restriction of Liberty Order and 200 hours of Community Service after threatening to ‘Shoot Lennon with Impunity.’

  • Utterly disgusting. Guy can expect a tap at his door from police Scotland. They’re the vilest set of supporters in the country. Embarrassing and just about sums up the fans of Scotland’s shame
