Hibs visit Paisley this Sunday with the drama surrounding Neil Lennon’s suspension from the club overshadowing a crucial fixture for the Easter Road men.

Recent form has been wretched and a 1-0 defeat by Motherwell on Wednesday is alleged to have sparked the squad meeting which led to Lennon’s likely departure from the club.

With only 2 victories in 14 Premiership outings Hibs are floundering in the wrong half of the table and will be aware of the threat from a Saints side who would have snatched a rare victory on their travels at Easter Road last month had it not been for a late Ryan Porteous header.

What happens with team selection is anyone’s guess. It’s likely to be Grant Murray and Eddie May in the dugout so with the squad likely to have trained in a particular formation prior to “Lennygate” then we’re unlikely to see wholesale changes despite the poor showing at Fir Park.

Definitely out are Lewis Stevenson, Ryan Porteous, Martin Boyle, Mark Milligan and Jamie MacLaren.

Adam Bogdan is a doubt with concussion whilst David Gray is still struggling.

Prediction:

This will be a tough encounter for a Hibs side likely to be going through a mental rollercoaster due to Wednesday’s loss and subsequent events.

Hugely difficult to call given the circumstances but The Buddies aren’t bottom of the league for no reason so expect to see a bit of quality from Gauld or Kamberi to secure a narrow victory.
