Hibs French midfielder Guilliame Beauzelin has signed for Coca Cola Championship side Coventry City the Midlands club have confirmed.

Beauzelin has agreed a two year deal with Chris Coleman’s men who are seeking to improve their fortunes after narrowly missing out on being relegated in the season just finished.

Hibees signed the midfielder during the summer of 2004 when Tony Mowbray was convinced after only 5 minutes of seeing the player in training to offer him a deal.

The player has went on to make 117 appearances during his time at the club and his silky skills will be sorely missed at Easter Road.

‘I am delighted to be signing for Coventry – I am very excited about next season,’ Boozy told City’s official website.

‘It is another step in my career. I had four very good years in Scotland and I am very excited about this new challenge.’ he added.

Coventry boss Chris Coleman was delighted with the new addition to his squad and said ‘He’s someone I’ve admired for a very long time and he’s a very good player.

‘He’s brave with the ball and he’s great at starting attacks from midfield.

‘The fans will find out what a good player he is when he pulls on a sky blue jersey.’

Coleman also confirmed he had, like West Brom boss and former manager Tony Mowbray, tried to sign the player during January’s transfer window without success.
