Hibs striker Abdessallam Benjelloun is seeking a move from Easter Road as he finds his first team chances restricted under current boss Mixu Paatelainen.

Benjelloun has made only three starts under Mixu and has struggled for form since his arrival back in January.

The Moroccan had been rested throughout October by previous boss John Collins as the player stuck to his religious beliefs by fasting throughout Ramadan although it was ultimately to his detriment as he suffered both a form loss and numerous niggling injuries.

Clive Hart, the players agent said ‘The bottom line is this year hasn’t happened for him and it’s not inconceivable that for all parties concerned it might be the best thing to move him on.

”I’ve got great respect for Mixu, so has Benji, but managers look for different qualities in players. Nothing will happen without the full blessing of Mixu. It will have to be a deal that suits everyone in all respects.’

Not really much of a surprise. He’s not kicked a ball for months and hardly started. When he has started he’s been murder and has taken on the O’Brien not interested look. If we get some money for him even better.
