Hibs Under 19’s turned in a magnificent attacking performance on a chilly Sunday afternoon hammering some thirteen goals past their Queen of the South counterparts.

A decent crowd turned up as Hibs opened the gates free of charge and the supporters enjoyed some sparkling football.

The gulf in class was evident between the two sides as Hibees went two up after only 11 minutes. Hibs continued to press forward and they dominated proceedings racing into a nine goal lead by the time the half time whistle was blown.

Their foot came off the pedal in the second half although another 4 strikes were added.

Most impressive for Hibs were Jordan Cropley and Jack Wilson.

Wilson in particular looks to have a fantastic future. A midfielder who can pass superbly and has excellent close control he could certainly have a big future in the game.

If he could fill out a bit and perhaps grow another two or three inches this 18 year old would have the lot.

For the record Hibs lined up as :-

Grof, Welsh, Moyes, Tomlie, Hanlon, Wotherspoon, Wilson, Currie, Cropley, Byrne, Russell.

The goalscorers were – Wotherspoon (3), Cropley (3), Byrne (2), Wilson (2), Currie, Tomlie & Moyes.
