Hibs youth coach Guillaume Beuzelin has left the club to assist Ian Murray at Dumbarton.

The popular Frenchman, a mainstay in midfield of the Tony Mowbray era, joins his former teammate at The Bet Butler Stadium and will come up against his former employers during the upcoming Scottish Championship campaign.

Boozy, as he’s affectionately known to the Easter Road faithful, currently holds a UEFA B coaching license and is awaiting the results of the exam to become a fully qualified UEFA A licencesd coach.

He’s been active in a backroom role since retiring and has been involved with the SFA, Falkirk and Stirling University since hanging up his boots.

Dumbarton performed above expectation last season, finishing just outside the Championship play-off spots in fifth, and Murray has worked wonders with his part time squad.

The 35 year old will replace Ross Jack after the former Dunfermline player left to join Hibs city rivals Hearts in a coaching role.

Murray, himself linked with a move to Easter Road in the wake of Terry Butcher’s dismissal last month said : “Guillame will be at Ainslie Park tomorrow so that we can have a smooth handover with Jack and it’ll be an opportunity for him to get to know the lads.

“He’ll officially come on board in the next seven days once all the paperwork has been sorted.”
