The draw for the quarter final stage of this season’s Scottish Cup took place earlier today, and Hibernian will have to wait for a replay to decide our eventual opponents.
We have however been given Easter Road advantage again which head coach Alan Stubbs had hoped for, and following the game between Berwick and Spartans, we will know our eventual upcoming opponents.
The quarter final ties are set to take place on the weekend of March 7/8.
Speaking to the press after the draw was made, Stubbs explained.
‘We’re absolutely delighted to get a home draw. We will thoroughly prepare for the tie and the homework started seconds after the draw – we will compile a detailed dossier on both teams and ensure we’re fully equipped for the match.’
The replay between our potential opponents takes place at Shielfield Park next Tuesday.
Ticket information and the final date the fixture will be played will be announced in due course.
