Three young Hibs players have confirmed they are to leave the club following relegation to the Championship.

Bradley Donaldson, David Gold and ‘keeper Paul Grant confirmed they were departing on Twitter with Donaldson Tweeting ‘@braddonaldson: Gutted to be leaving Hibs after 12 great years at the club. Been some good and bad times but ultimately it’s time for a new challenge.’

The young defender, subject of a loan spell at Alloa this season, tweeted again shortly thereafter saying “@braddonaldson: Difficult 18 months with injuries but really disappointed I never had the opportunity to show what I can do⚽️. Life goes on..”

Young stopper Grant, from Gilmerton, posted a similar message to Donaldson’s – “@bobogrant: Gutted to be leaving hibs, had some great times and some not so great!”

Gold, a young midfielder who’d looked decent for the double winning Under 20’s also took to the social media site to tweet “@davidgold93: Sad day today.. Last 13 years have been a pleasure with @HibernianFCClub And the boys .. Onto the next one !!”

Vital Hibs wish the three youngsters all the best as they look to progress their careers.
