Stubbs Sick Of Draws

Manager Alan Stubbs has said he’s sick of Hibs drawing games that we should win following our three all draw against Falkirk.

Having led at half time three one with a Jason Cummings first half hattrick, seeing us lose the two goal advantage in the second half left the gaffer frustrated and disappointed at the full time whistle.

Speaking to the Official Site following the game he explained.

‘We should’ve won it – I don’t think there is any doubt about that. To let them come away with a draw is just not acceptable from any point of view. So we should’ve created a six point gap between us, but we haven’t done because we didn’t do enough to see the game.’

Being a defender during his playing days himself, Stubbs adds that we just didn’t defend set pieces and ball into the box properly, and being 3-1 up we were comfortable and it should have been too much of an ask for them to get back into the game but we were sloppy and we gave them the second wind and the belief that they could get something from the match in effect.

‘I expect players to take responsibility when there are set pieces, but they didn’t. We didn’t make the right decisions in the box.’

ending his after match interviews, he added that simply put you shouldn’t be scoring three goals in a game and not coming out without all three points, so it’s definitely a case of two points dropped for him.
