Manager Alan Stubbs has said he’s excited about taking on Aberdeen in the Scottish League Cup Third Round tie at Easter Road.
Having progressed in last night’s second round tie against Stranraer, the gaffer told the Official Site that he was delighted to have got the home tie in what will be a tricky game for us.
Tricky, but also one to relish.
‘It`s obviously a really exciting draw for us – over the past couple of seasons, Aberdeen have consistently shown how strong they are and they will be difficult opponents. But it`s a challenge we`re looking forward to; testing ourselves against one of the country`s top teams. It should prove to be memorable Cup tie under the floodlights at Easter Road and hopefully this fixture will excite our supporters.’
The game itself is yet to be set but is expected to take place on either Tuesday September 22 or the following Wednesday and ticket details will be announced in due course.
