Hibs New Years Day derby clash will take place on New Years Day as scheduled after broadcaster ESPN confirmed they will show the match live.
It’s the first Edinburgh Derby to be played on the traditional festive date since Hibs battled back from a two goal deficit to draw 2-2 back in 1997/98, also at Tynecatle.
Whilst Hibs have yet to officially make an announcement, the official SPL website confirmed the fixture will stay as per the original fixture list however the Dundee Utd clash originally due to be played on Saturday 29th January at Tannadice has been moved back 24 hours to the Sunday and will be shown live (1:15pm kick off).
The only other live fixtures to involve Hibs are the visit from Celtic on 15th January (12 noon kick off) and that of champions Rangers to Easter Road on Wednesday 26th January (7:45pm kick off).
