Influential skipper McPake has missed the last two SPL clashes, victories against Hearts and Kilmarnock, being replaced by 19 year old Jordan Forster who has impressed in both ties.

Manager Pat Fenlon confirmed their return ahead of the final SPL clash of the season against Dundee whilst admitting on loan Manchester City defender Ryan McGivern will also be fit following a 20 minute outing against Killie in midweek after the Irishman missed the Derby victory last weekend.

The Hibees boss said “Ryan should be okay, Tim trained yesterday and James also done a little bit.

“It`s probably too early to say at the moment. We need to get the weekend out of the way, see how they are, get them into full training at the start of the week and see what response we get.

“I`ll give every player the chance to prove themselves fit and ready to play but if they are not then we won`t take a chance.

“There`s the bigger picture and we have to make sure everyone who takes part next week is 100 per cent right.”

Fenlon also stated he’d be prepared to throw any of his young starlets into the starting line up for the final with Ross Caldwell and Danny Handling both impressing alongside Forster and winger Alex Harris in recent weeks.

He added “I`d have no qualms about throwing any of the young lads in. We have thrown them in to Tynecastle which is a difficult place to play and they performed really, really well so I do not have any qualms about any of the players I have in the squad at the moment.”
