Kennedy Back At Everton

Matthew Kennedy’s loan spell with Hibs has come to an end so he’s returned to Alan Stubbs’ former club Everton.

Given the fact that Stubbs was formerly on the coaching staff at the Premier League club he would have had some inside knowledge on the likes of Kennedy, formerly with Kilmarnock, and that gave us a better chance of getting him.

In his loan spell with us he played 16 times for us, scoring once, with Stubbs telling the official website how appreciative he is that we were able to borrow the 20-year-old Scottish U21 international who has been ‘great’ during his spell with us.

Stubbs said: ‘We would like to wish Matthew all the best for the rest of the season.

‘He has been great throughout his time here at Hibernian and we would like to thank Everton for letting us take one of their promising young players on loan.’
