Hibs are poised to conclude the signing of Florian Kamberi later today according to the Edinburgh Evening News.

The Swiss striker spent a successful 5 months on loan at Easter Road last season scoring 9 times in 15 matches with his form attracting the attention of English sides Sheffield United and Sunderland.

Due to an agreement between Hibs and Kamberi’s current outfit Grasshoppers, Hibees were granted the opportunity to purchase the player for a bargain fee of around £150,000 when the loan expired and were given a deadline of today to complete the permanent move by the Swiss outfit.

The 22 year old will become Neil Lennon’s first signing of the summer but such was his influence in the latter part of the season Kamberi’s arrival will be seen as another positive addition by the fans who now hope to see another loanee, Scott Allan, make a permanent move to the club from champions Celtic.
