Hibs have confirmed the permanent signing of last season’s star loanee Florian Kamberi on a three year contract.

The 22 year old striker impressed during his 5 month stay for the latter part of the season and proved a fine acquisition scoring 9 times in 15 matches.

Hibs had agreed a deal with former club Grasshoppers to sign the player for a bargain fee of around £150,000 at the time of his loan arrangement and with that deal due to expire today Hibees have moved swiftly to capture one of their main summer signing targets.

Speaking on the official club website after signing Kamberi said “I am very happy to be coming back to Hibs. I want to continue where I left off and help the club to continue to improve.

“We are in Europe and have a good squad, so it will be a good season I’m sure.”
