Hibs have taken Jamaican international striker Theo Robinson on trial according to a report in this morning’s Scottish Sun.

The 26 year old, capped 5 times for the Reggae Boyz, is currently training at the club’s East Mains complex as he bids to secure a deal following his release from Doncaster Rovers this summer.

Robinson started his career with Watford before playing for Huddersfield, Millwall, Derby County and Rovers. He’s also had loan spells at Wealdstone, Hereford, Southend and Scunthorpe.

Boss Alan Stubbs is keen to bolster his attacking options after watching his side miss a plethora of chances at Ibrox last weekend which saw his side fall to a defeat and six points behind Rangers in the Scottish Championship title race.

Robinson, who averages roughly a goal every three games in the English leagues, will be given the opportunity to impress Stubbs and convince the Hibees boss he’s the man to end their persistent failure to capitalise on the amount of chances they fail to convert.
