English Premiership outfit Swansea have seen two bids for promising 18 year old striker Jason Cummings rejected by Hibs according to today’s Edinburgh Evening News.

Cummings shot to prominence last season when he scored twice in the Hibees 2-0 victory in the end of season play off against Hamilton although his brace was ultimately forlorn as the Easter Road out fir blew the advantage in the second leg.

The Welsh side signed Adam King from city neighbours Hearts last season but their attempts to sign Cummings have been thwarted by new Head Coach Alan Stubbs reluctance to do business.

The offer from the Swans, said to be a ‘six figure sum’, was rejected by the board and it’s believed the player himself is keen to continue his career at Hibs under the guidance of Stubbs and new assistant John Doolan.

Cummings marked the return to action for the Hibees squad by netting a double in last weekend’s friendly match against Lowland League outfit Vale of Leithen and will hope to play an active part in the club’s attempts to challenge for the Championship this season.
