Hibs look set to face an enquiry into the incident which saw a ‘fan’ throw a bottle onto the pitch during Sunday’s Edinburgh Derby.

A glass bottle was thrown, apparently aimed at the assistant referee, from a section of the home support.

Referee Charlie Richmond has detailed the incident in his match report.

The SFA will write to the club requesting an explanation and will make a decision regarding punishment at their next meeting on 4th December.

Hibernian’s home encounter on Saturday 29th December will be shown live on Setanta Sports.

The kick off time though has been changed from 3 p.m to 12:30 p.m

A strong Hibs reserves side were defeated 3-0 by their St Mirren counterparts at Almondvale yesterday afternoon.

The line up included several first teamers including Shiels, O’Brien, Zemmama, Chisholm, Donaldson and Benji on his return from injury.

A disappointing result from such a strong line up also saw manager John Collins have words with a ‘supporter’ who abused the players once too often.
