Hibs boss John Collins was a disappointed man after seeing his players lose 3-0 to Rangers at Ibrox this afternoon.

First-half goals from Dado Prso, Libor Sionko and Barry Ferguson, combined with Rangers’ best performance for some time, were enough to end the Hibs boss’s unbeaten run since taking the reins at Easter Road.

Hibs’ afternoon was made even worse by the sending-off of Ivan Sproule in the second-half. The Northern Ireland international was booked in the first-half after a clash with Ferguson and picked-up his second yellow-card for throwing the ball away after 67 minutes.

Speaking after the match, Collins said: “I was very disappointed in the way we went about our business in the first half. We were very poor indeed – off the pace all over the park. We were much better in the second half – that was the only positive.”

Collins summed up the performance by saying it was one of those days when too many players were below-par. Hibs are now in fifth-place, one point below Hearts and level with Kilmarnock.
