Anderlecht after famous four

Belgian team Anderlecht are set to make a bid to sign Hibs famous four Derek Riordan, Garry O’Connor, Kevin Thomson and Scott Brown.

Anderlecht have had the four youngsters watched and are set to bid £4 million to sign all four when the January transfer window opens.

It’s worrying news for the Hibs fans who will be desperate for the club to hold on to the talented youngsters, losing them could be a major blow for their championship hopes and would see the break up of their most exciting team for years.

Riordan, O’Connor and Brown have all made the breakthrough to the full international team and Riordan and O’Connor both scored against Rangers at the weekend as an Anderlecht scout looked on.

Anderlecht have had a disaster in their Champions League group this season and will hope bringing the Hibs youngsters in will bring them better fortunes next season.
