Hibs are set to be active on transfer deadline day with up to three signings expected to be confirmed by 11pm tonight.

Celtic midfielder Dylan McGeouch is expected to arrive on loan to strengthen competition for a midfield berth whilst Jake Sinclair, younger brother of Manchester City’s Scott, is also set to sign an initial loan deal to January.

Sinclair’s arrival will boost Alan Stubbs options in the striking department after Farid El Alagui was carried off against Alloa on Saturday with the Hibees top scorer expected to be out until at least the New Year with an achilles injury.

South Africarn Matty Pattison is also interesting the Hibs head coach and having spent the past few days training with the Easter Road side, could be offered a deal although with the former Norwich man being a free agent, there’s no immediate rush to conclude any offer.

Hibs also appear to have missed out on striker Leigh Griffiths, who appeared from the bench to net in Celtic’s 1-1 draw with Dundee.

The striker has failed to hold down a regular starting spot under Ronny Delia and it was expected he’d be allowed to leave the club during this transfer window but Serbian striker Stefan Scepovic’s reluctance to move to Scotland and sign for the Glasgow club appear to have scuppered any hope of a short term return to his boyhood heroes.
