Head coach Alan Stubbs has said he felt Hibernian more than deserved all three points from the game against Livington.

Speaking to the press following the two one victory, the gaffer believed that given our overall performance in the game it would’ve been a travesty had we not taken the victory yesterday evening.

‘When they score you are thinking ‘here we go again’ but I think it shows a different side to us. They kept going and it`s a great finish to win the game in the end but we have done enough in the game before that, we`ve created enough opportunities so I think for us not to have won the game would have been wrong and a bit unjust. That`s what happens, teams will come and try and frustrate you, get behind the ball. But I cannot fault the boys whatsoever.’

Stubbs goes on to say that in many ways we can be thankful for the old cliche of teams never being more vulnerable than they are after they score, as that certainly proved true for us and Franck Dja Djedje’s winner which was timed at just over 60 seconds after their leveller.

‘The lads have come a long way in a short space of time. At this stage of the season it is all about results. I don`t think anyone can say we didn`t deserve to win the game.’

With Rangers dropping two points themselves we have extended our buffer zone over them by another two points, and knowing that Stubbs admits it was the perfect motivation for the players because they knew what a win would do for us.

Another game down, another three points gained.
