Head coach Alan Stubbs has said he’s expecting a very tough challenge from the game against Raith Rovers having been drawn against them in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup earlier today at Hampden Park.

Having faced the side twice so far this season, a two nil win at Easter Road and a two one victory on our travels, Stubbs is keenly aware of the kind of test they will pose to us in the competition.

Speaking to the Official Site following the draw, he explained.

‘We’re obviously familiar with Raith Rovers and we know them well. The match will be a tough challenge, but I’m sure they’ll be saying the same. We’ll put it to the back of our minds for now – there’s a few weeks until the game so we’ll concentrate on the next few matches and look forward to the cup game when it comes around.’

The fourth round encounter has been provisionally set for the weekend of January 9/10 – a week after we face them in Championship action once again – and further details will be announced closer to the time.
