Hibs full back Lewis Stevenson has been handed a notice of complaint by the Scottish FA following a clash with Hearts forward Jamie Walker in the final few minutes of Sunday’s Edinburgh Derby.

The players came together in the corner flag at Tynecastle as Hearts looked to play out time with Stevenson appearing to run his studs down Walker’s leg.

In the immediate aftermath, the Jambo’s youngster appeared to attempt a soft headbutt towards the Hibees star and Hearts have confirmed they won’t contest the offer of a two match ban after their man was also cited for violent conduct.

Stevenson meanwhile was charged with ‘stamping or attempting to stamp on an opponent,’ and has until 3pm on Wednesday to contest the charge or, like Walker, accept a two game ban.

Should the Hibs player appeal the decision, the hearing will take place this Thursday, 21st August.
