Hibernian found out earlier in the week St Johnstone would provide the opposition between them and a place in the League Cup Final, with holders Celtic and Ross County battling it out in the other.

We now know, with the details confirmed on the Official Website, where and when this semi final will be played.

Hibs will travel to a neutral ground for the League Cup semi final with St Johnstone when they play at the home of Edinburgh rivals Hearts, with this played on Saturday 30th January with a 3pm kick-off.

All will hope, from a Hibs persuasion, for a repeat of the 2007 semi final clash when the Hibees saw off St Johnstone three-one before going onto win the trophy – can history repeat itself?

Ticket information will be announced soon.

We do see a knock on effect to the Scottish Championship meeting with Morton though! This was set to be played on the same day so this has of course been postponed and will be rearranged with a new date revealed shortly.
