Hibs have confirmed six players will leave the club following the expiry of their contracts.

Among those departing are Grant Holt, the veteran striker who was a first team regular throughout the Championship winning season.

Despite making 39 appearances and netting 7 times, the 37 year old has failed to earn a new deal but is likely to have a list of potential suitors.

Alex Harris, Scott Gallacher, Brian McLean, Jamie Insall and Chris Humphrey are the others who will be seeking new challenges next season.

Harris has failed to live up to his initial promise when he broke into the first team as a teenager under Pat Fenlon whilst the others were all mainly short term signings by Neil Lennon.

Insall arrived at Easter Road from non league English football as a project under Alan Stubbs but was farmed out on loan to East Fife for the majority of his two year stint at the Hibees and recently failed a drug test whilst playing for the Methil side – something which he is contesting.
