Hibs go to Rangers on Wednesday as our bid for an instant return to the Scottish Premiership moves a step closer with the winner of this two-legged semi final facing Motherwell for that right.

We’re back fit and refreshed from a spell in La Manga that we’ll be looking to benefit from as we head to Ibrox but Rangers might feel they’ve got the competitive edge having kept up their match sharpness but the play-off ¼ final with Queen of the South could have taken something out of them too!

Rangers have Lee McCulloch (knock) back in the squad but injuries keep out Seb Faure (knee), Kevin Mbabu (fitness), Gael Bigirimana (infection) and Shane Ferguson (knee).

As said we benefited from the time in La Manga and return from the warm weather training along with a couple of weeks rest sees us back with a near full strength squad to select from as a result.

Alan Stubbs said that this break, which was a training break and not a holiday, worked well with the players ‘chomping at the bit’ for this with him telling them to ‘thrive on the pressure’ and not fear on it to come away with a positive result ahead of the second leg on Saturday.

‘It’s not about fearing the pressure, you have to thrive on it. There’s every chance there will be a full house at Ibrox. You don’t go there and fear it, you go there and be brave, and get on the ball.

‘We obviously want to go there and try to win the game, there is no doubt about that.

‘Ideally, we want to come away from Ibrox with a win but if it’s a draw or a narrow defeat, the tie will still be wide open when we come here on Saturday.’

It’s essential that we ‘stay in the tie’ as Stubbs said, ideally we come away with a draw or that ‘narrow defeat’ but in a perfect world it’ll be with us winning at Ibrox!
