The Daily Express (in the printed edition, yes folks, you can still buy printed papers!) is today running a story claiming Terry Butcher is set to be appointed manager of the Philippines national side.
We at Vital Hibs have only one very simple message for them: Don’t Do It!
Butcher, who has somehow made a living from various managerial appointments was possibly the worst in Hibs history, taking a side sitting fifth in the table to relegation in 6 long months of turgid football.
His ability to demean and belittle players was common knowledge at Easter Road and alongside fellow playground bully Maurice Malpas brought the club to its knees.
Despite a quite shocking record as a manager he got the gig at Newport following his sacking by then newly appointed Hibees CEO Leeann Dempster and done his very best to ruin the Welsh outfit.
Amazing how some managers seem able to keep getting jobs despite their awful track record isn’t it?
