Mogga: Become the Villareal deal

After our fantastic win against Rangers on Sunday, manager Mogga hopes that we can copy the blueprint of teams like Villareal on the way to success.

Tony said in The Sun: ‘Over a season we can’t compete with the biggest clubs over 38 games. So what we try to do is bring in good players with a good work ethic and try to compete.’

‘Hopefully by doing that there becomes an upward spiral where you get more fans coming here because they are the lifeblood of the club.’ continued the boss.

‘Then hopefully we can get to a level where it is possible for us to redevelop the East Stand and that will allow us to increase our revenue. That in turn would give us the chance to offer larger wages and attract more quality players.’

‘We’re never going to get 60,000 fans coming through the gate here. But what we can do is aspire to becoming the likes of a Villareal or an AZ Alkmaar where they have everything right behind the scenes which allows them to prepare the most efficient way’ said Tony, cleary indicating how important the building of Hibs new training facility in East Lothian will be.

‘Villareal are a small club but they have fantastic coaching facilities and they bring their own kids through. I’m not saying we’re on the same level but what they have is something for us to aspire to.’

Wise words Mogga, just keep those young stars coming!!
