Hibs captain James McPake was unsurprised by the draw for the Scottish Cup 4th Round which saw his side paired with local rivals Hearts in a repeat of last season’s Final in May.

The defender hopes to avenge that day with victory over the Jambo’s admitting it’s the draw everyone wanted to see.

Despite Hibs recent uninspiring form in that particular fixture, on current form the Leith club would probably be slight favourites heading into the encounter.

Good form at home has seen Pat Fenlon’s men undefeated in six outings so far at Easter Road and McPake was adamant the SPL would continue to take precedence until the Derby comes around.

The Northern Ireland international told the clubs website ‘It’s the tie we all wanted. First and foremost, we’re just happy to have a home tie and it will be a massive game against Hearts.

‘I had a feeling we would get them and it’s a game everybody is looking forward to being a part of.

‘But firstly we’ve got to build on our positive start to the SPL season – continuing with Dundee United at home on Sunday.’

The Hibees face the Arabs in a clash which will be shown live on SkySports 4 with a 12:45 kick off time.

Tickets can be purchased online via the club website subject to a booking charge, via telephone on 0844 844 1875 (option 1) or by visiting the club store to collect them in person. Tickets are also on sale at various outlets outside the stadium prior to kick off.
