Dylan McGeouch finally signed a three year deal with Hibs on Friday as Alan Stubbs pursuit of the midfielder concluded in a satisfactory manner for Hibs.
Although rumoured to be be a makeweight in the deal which took Scott Allan to McGeouch’s former club Celtic, Hibs officially confirmed the deal only on Friday afternoon, a week after Allan signed for the Parkhead outfit.
The capture of the midfielder, who made 26 appearances on loan for the club last season completes a summer long wait for Alan Stubbs who made no secret of his desire in wanting the player to return to the capital on a permanent basis.
McGeouch will find himself thrown into the melting pot when Hibs face Rangers in a Scottish Championship match on Sunday but he’s an unlikely starter and may have to contend himself with a seat on the bench.
Meanwhile, Hibs have let two players depart the club on loan. Alex Harris is joining Queen of the South whilst Lewis Allan heads to Forfar on a year long deal.
