Hibs Sack Stadium PA After Cheeky Jibe

Hibs have announced the sacking of their stadium PA announcer following a cheeky dig at city rivals Hearts during Sunday’s SPL clash with Dundee United.

Hearts supporters were said to have complained to the club following Beatles hit Taxman being aired during the half time interval, a song that was seen by them to be mocking their current plight whereby they face a winding up order over a sum of £450,000 due to HMRC, with another £1.7m demand being contested by the club.

The tune was only aired for a short period prior to being cut, however a Hibs spokesman confirmed the PA in question had lost his job.

“The stadium announcer`s contract has been terminated following a breach of conduct.” said a Hibernian spokesman.

Pat Fenlon’s men won the match 2-1 courtesy of strikes from Leigh Griffiths and Eoin Doyle to move clear of Celtic at the top of the table.
