Neil Lennon has managed to secure his first Hibernian signings recently but as he puts his own touch on he Hibs squad since his arrival he’s allowed several members of Alan Stubbs’ squad to move on.

Mark Oxley had been the Hibs no.1 until his lost his place to Conrad Logan but both are likely to be playing away from Easter Road next season. Former Bolton ‘keeper Oxley is set to join Southend with no less than seven first-team players having Easter Road exits confirmed.

Oxley has been ‘in discussions with Southend’ about a move to the English League 1 side with him able to leave Hibs this summer despite the fact he still has a year left on his contract, a clause in his Hibees deal would enable the 25-year-old to move on.

With their contracts ending the club also confirmed Logan, Kevin Thomson, Farid El Alagui, Chris Dagnall, Niklas Gunnarsson, Liam Henderson and Anthony Stokes had all departed Hibs.

Obviously doing so with the clubs best wishes.

Scottish Cup hero Logan departs with the ‘keeper having made eight appearances in his brief spell. Thomson was back for his latest stint helping us to a draw with rivals Hearts in the Scottish Cup. El Alagui, who always had injury problems scored seven-goals in his 21-matches. Dagnall (who has since linked up with England League 2 side Crewe) arrived from Indian club Kerala Blasters in January making 15 appearances.

Gunnarsson, also in from Valerenga in January in a loan deal made 15 appearances scoring two-goals with his time at Hibs seeing him end this by making his international debut with Norway. Henderson came in on a season-long loan deal from Celtic last August scoring six-goals in his 48-matches with fellow Celtic loanee Stokes returning to Easter Road in the New Year. His second debut brought him a goal with him managing 11 in total including a brace against Rangers in the Scottish Cup Final win.

Having returned to Celtic he was then released, signing for English Championship side Blackburn.

Academy players Sean Brennan, Jordan McGregor, Jordan Sinclair and Aaron Scott were released in May of course with Josh Peters, an arrival with the Hibernian Academy from Strathspey Thistle in January, also moving on.

On the topic of the academy two of these players, versatile Ben Stirling and left sided fullback or winger Sean Mackie, have left to join Berwick Rangers on Development Loans.

These loans for the 17-year-olds are set to run until 11th January 2017.
