Hibs have today been linked with a loan move for Liverpool winger Adam Hammill who has just returned to the Reds after an unsuccessful stint at Coca Cola Championship side Southampton.

Hammill was a star of the Dunfermline side of 2007 which went to the Scottish Cup Final and it was he who won the penalty, ironically against Hibs, which secured their Final berth.

The player won a lot of fans with his trickery during his spell on loan at the Pars, although some were critical of his delivery, but overall was widely regarded as their best player of a season which saw them relegated from Scotland’s top flight.

There is though a lot of interest in the player with Sky Sports linking him with Wolves, Plymouth, Charlton, Preston, QPR and Swansea along with both Hibs and Aberdeen.

His current manager, Rafa Benitez, has a policy of letting his young stars go out on loan in an effort to get them used to playing competitive football in a first team environment therefore a move back up North may suit the 20 year old.
