Hibs Linked With Terrier Novak

Reports in England today are suggesting Hibs may be monitoring Huddersfield Town striker Lee Novak with the player yet to commit to a new deal with the Terriers and out of contract in a few weeks time.

Novak has spent four seasons with the Yorkshire outfit since joining in January 2009 following a £150,00 move from non-league Gateshead.

Hibees boss Pat Fenlon is sure to be keen to add some firepower over the summer months with Eoin Doyle having agreed to join Chesterfield and Shefki Kuqi unlikely to receive a contract extension having never managed to establish himself at the club while the Leigh Griffiths situation seems far from being settled.

Birmingham City are also said to be interested in the striker who’s netted 42 goals in 172 league and cup appearances for Huddersfield and manager Mark Robins has offered the player a new deal.

However with many Terriers fans of the belief Novak is pricing himself out of any agreement with their club it remains a debatable point as to whether a move north to Hibs would increase either his playing profile or bank balance, despite the attraction of European football next season.
