Hibs have offered a contract to Grimsby’s out of contract winger Alex Rodman according to BBC Sport.

Rodman, who appeared 41 times for The Mariners last season is said to be weighing up the prospect of a move to the Scottish Championship with other options down south available.

Capped at English non league level and a member of the English futsal side, the 27 year old began his career with Aston Villa before moving to Wolves but has since led a fairly nomadic footballing lifestyle throughout the English non-league.

If the reports are true, it would appear the Easter Road side plan to keep Terry Butcher in the managerial hot seat despite the former Caley boss leading Hibs to relegation after a Premiership play-off defeat to Hamilton.

Since relegation was confirmed, the Hibees have released no less than 15 players and need to undergo on a major recruitment drive this summer.

Young starlets Alex Harris and Sam Stanton meanwhile, are due to discuss their immediate future with the club today with Leeann Dempster scheduled to meet both players representatives.
