Hibs are keeping tabs on a potential loan move for England under 21 star Freddy Woodman according to the Daily Record.

The Newcastle goalkeeper is currently fourth choice at St James Park but shone as he helped his nation win the Toulon tournament last week.

Woodman is no stranger to the Scottish game having previously enjoyed loan spells with Kilmarnock and Aberdeen with the latter interested in seeing him return to Pittodrie ahead of the upcoming season.

The youngster provided emergency cover for the Dons earlier this year after first choice Joe Lewis missed 3 months with a leg injury suffered against Rangers.

There is likely to be further interest in the talented 21 year old from English clubs whilst Hibs local rivals Hearts are also said to be looking at the ‘keeper despite having signed Czech Zdenek Zamal last month.

You can see a fuller account of the history of Freddy on his Wikipedia page. He looks to be a youngster with the world at his feet doesn’t he? Or should that be world at his hands in this case?
