Hibs are keen to talk to former Rangers striker Kane Hemmings who’s contract with Championship outfit Cowdenbeath expires this summer.

The newly crowned PFA Scotland Championship Player of the Year is hot property after banging home 16 goals this season for the struggling Central Park outfit.

Terry Butcher isn’t alone in his interest in the forward with Kilmarnock, Dundee, Dunfermline and English Championship side Blackburn Rovers also pursuing the 23 year old’s signature.

Hemmings was released by Ally McCoist last summer and having enjoyed a short loan spell with the Blue Brazil during the 2012-13 season opted to sign a one year deal with the Fife side.

Last night at the annual PFA Scotland ceremony saw him crown a fine campaign by winning the Championship’s best player award and it looks likely the Burton on Trent born frontman will seal a move to a bigger club during the summer months.
