The semi final draw for the Scottish League Cup has been made with Hibernian given a last four tie against Scottish Premiership side St Johnstone.

After the quarter final ties were completed last week, with Hibs securing a place in the semi final, we’ve seen all of those remaining in the League Cup move a step closer, and an opponent less to face, between the Hibees and glory in this competition!

Celtic, of course, won the League Cup last season when they beat Dundee United in the final and they remain on course to defend this but Hibs have avoided them, with the Bhoys facing Ross County.

James Keatings was present at this draw with him telling Official Website.

‘We’re delighted to be in the semi-final and it’s a good draw for us and we’ll be looking forward to it now.

‘We’ve played two teams from the Premiership so far and we’ve beat them, so we’ll be confident.

‘Obviously we’re on a great run just now and hopefully we can keep that going up until the semi-final and hopefully we can win that as well.’

The full draw:

Hibernian v St Johnstone
Ross County v Celtic

These semi final ties are set to take place on 30th or 31st January 2016. Are you happy with this tie?
