Goal Of The Month Accolade For Wotherspoon

Hibs midfielder David Wotherspoon was rewarded with the Clydesdale Bank Goal of the Month award following his strike against Inverness Caley in a 2-2 draw at Easter Road.

The 20 year old rifled a 25 yard effort into the top corner past a helpless Ryan Esson in the Caley goal, a strike which put the Hibees 2 up before the Highlanders mounted a fightback to grab a deserved share of the spoils.

Wotherspoon has been virtually ever present in the Hibees starting line up this season after appearing to fall out of favour with manager Pat Fenlon towards the end of last season, culminating in the disappointment of being omitted completely from the Scottish Cup Final squad.

However the youngster has battled his way back into the team and his performances so far have justified the praise which came his way following a recent spell which saw him net three times in five games.
