Dinosaur Brown Attacks Hibees Dempster

Former Scotland manager Craig Brown has been resuscitated from his role on the Aberdeen board to fire a broadside at Hibs CEO Leeann Dempster who is favoured by many to take over from ousted Scottish FA Chief Stewart Regan.

Brown, famous only for being the last manager to guide Scotland to a major finals and having an affair with a woman more than half his age claims Dempster is ‘difficult to deal with’ in an interview with the BBC Scotland.

“I found Leeann Dempster difficult to deal with,’ said the 77-year-old relic from days past.

“She`s a nice lady, but when I was at Motherwell, Leeann Dempster was there and she was difficult to deal with.

“I mean that quite seriously, because nothing was ever straight-forward.

“Now Neil Lennon, I hear promoting Leeann Dempster.

“All I`ll say to you is this, I`ve experienced working with her and my experience is not the same as Neil Lennon`s.

“I found her difficult to deal with. I`m not saying that she`s not for the job, all I`m saying is that`s my own experience with Leeann Dempster.

“And if you ask my colleague Archie Knox, he`ll tell you the same.”

“Listen, if they appointed Leeann Dempster, obviously she`s done a good job at Hibernian, of that there`s no question.

“But you ask three or four experienced Motherwell players, you ask Archie my colleague, you ask me, all I`ll say to you is that I found her difficult to deal with.

“She wasn`t straight-forward, nothing was straight-forward and therefore I cannot be in support.”

One wonders if Leeann’s attempt to introduce an ongoing football structure at Fir Park where smooth transition from manager to manger is seamless or modernising the playing side had any impact on Brown’s relationship with his then CEO. Or maybe she just knocked the horny old man back. You can decide.
