Hibernian are represented in the latest Scottish Professional Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The best eleven was selected by Craig Fowler.

The performance by Jason Cummings in the two one victory over Falkirk at the weekend at the Falkirk Stadium was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Scottish League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Cummings was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the SPFL blurb read.

‘Great start to the season for the striker rated at £1.7m by Peterborough United. Hibs are desperate to hold on to their top goalscorer and it’s easy to see why. His two strikes sunk Falkirk and gave his side the perfect start to their campaign.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Cummings for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Joe Lewis (Aberdeen), Ben Heneghan (Motherwell), Kolo Toure (Celtic), Andy Graham (Alloa Athletic), Dylan Easton (Clyde), Chris Erskine (Partick Thistle), Scott Pittman (Livingston), Ali Crawford (Hamilton Academicals), Joe Cardle (Dunfermline), Mark O’Hara (Dundee), Jason Cummings (Hibernian).
