Hibs star Jason Cummings has backed seperate minutes applauses during the match against Dundee United for two Hibs supporters who lost their lives in equally tragic circumstances over New Year.

30 year old Sean Woodburn was killed in the early hours of 2017 following an incident in Leith and his minutes applause will appropriately take place on 30 minutes.

Shaun McKinley, 34, passed away following a lengthy battle with Sarcoma, a rare form of cancer but his bravery and character shone through updates on the popular Hibees Bounce forum where he gained an army of support through his positive attitude to fighting the cruel disease.

Shaun’s memory will be remembered by way of applause in the 34th minutes.

Striker Cummings Tweeted ‘I hope everyone tonight can join in a minute applause on the 30th minute in memory of Shaun Woodburn and the 34th minute for Shaun Mckinley.’

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all friends and family of both young men.
