Hibs daft WBC Silver super lightweight champion Josh Taylor received a surprise gift from the Hibees main sponsor Marathonbet hours after Tweeting a picture of himself in an old 2014/15 home kit.
The Prestonpans boxer who frequently discusses his favourite team on Twitter had been training with Super Middleweight George Groves who faces Chris Eubank Jnr this Saturday when he posted this on Twitter:
Great workout tonight with @McGuigans_Gym feeling good to go & fight now ????????. Camp is officially finished for big @StGeorgeGroves He`s on great form and raring to go on sat ???????????? #TeamGroves @LeeMcGregor3 @chantellecam @ChrisBillam @ThePunisherJP pic.twitter.com/OSiMjvxXPG

Taylor faces Mexican and former two weight World champion Humberto Soto at the Braehead Arena on March 3rd and having seen off another tough Mexican, Miguel Vasquez, knocking him out for the first time in a 45 fight career his record currently stands at 11-0 with 10 KO’s.
Rated by former World Heavyweight champion Tyson Fury as Britain’s top prospect and currently rated at no.8 in the world by Ring magazine it appears the Tartan Tornado has the boxing world at his feet but that didn’t stop Hibs shirt sponsors Marathonbet having a cheeky dig but they did give the boxer a welcome gift:
.@JoshTaylorBoxer! You cant be training in an old @HibsOfficial shirt for your next fight, so we`ve sent you a brand new one! Good luck in your 12th fight pal! ???? pic.twitter.com/B7muda4uft

Taylor was understandably delighted by the bookies generosity and Tweeted his thanks:
Absolutely amazing from @marathonbet sending me out a new @HibsOfficial top in support of my 12th fight. Much appreciated, thank you very much ???????????? https://t.co/BVEFi6eH6b

Marathonbet have been a successful commercial partner for Hibs, frequently promoting the club via social media channels and have given out green and white santa hats to supporters at Christmas time for fans travelling to Dundee and Aberdeen.
Hopefully the bookmakers have seen some reward for their continued backing of Scottish Football and their association with the Hibees continues for the forseeable future.
