New CEO Leeann Dempster confirmed talks will take place this week regarding the future of manager Terry Butcher however the overwhelming majority of the Vital Hibs readership want the Englishman to fall on his sword after relegation to the Championship.

Our most recent poll saw 81% of all voters state their desire to see the current gaffer leave the club despite only being appointed as Pat Fenlon’s successor last November.

Butcher’s disastrous reign at Easter Road saw the Hibees fall from fifth under Fenlon’s tenure to 11th, only avoiding automatic relegation thanks to Hearts points deduction, and a play-off capitulation saw the side throw away a two goal first leg advantage to lose on penalties.

Players who have left the club have complained of antiquated training under Maurice Malpas with Butcher’s playing style criticised by former employees across the board as well as fans and media.

Dempster has impressed all those whom have met her thus far and with the weight of feeling against the current manager certainly has a tough decision to make in only her second full week in the job.
